The book I chose to read and make this blog about is titled It’s Complicated: The Social Lives of
Networked Teens and it is written by Danah Boyd. She wrote the book mainly
for parents to read and learn about what their teens are doing online, but it
is also an excellent resource for anyone who wants to learn about social media
and the internet. Even people who use the internet and social media everyday
can learn a lot from this book. Boyd’s main
goals in this book were to prove to people that privacy is not dead, teens are
not addicted to social media, and teens are actually learning valuable skills
from using social media.
